NWCEI engages with socio-economic situations that disadvantage women and children's potential for growth in Kamuli District, Busoga sub-region in Eastern Uganda. Key examples of such disempowering situations include cases of extreme poverty, women and child abuse, discriminatory practices against Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) among women and children which limit their engagement in profitable production, economic exclusion & exploitation of women and children, and the destruction environmental resources that would otherwise protect the most vulnerable, women and children, against poverty, hunger and health problems.
